Project Destination Playground

What does an accessible playground of this scale cost?

Denzak Recreation who we have worked closely with on the design of this ambitious project, has provided an estimate of 1.5 million dollars in equipment, shelters and surfacing. We anticipate the total cost for the project to be approximately 3 million dollars after site work and labor costs are added in.

Why give?

To the right you will see Emerson Park’s current playground. It is abundantly clear that Project Destination Playground is long overdue for our community.

The newly designed playground offers play to everyone. The play structures are divided into four main sections that offer three different age group areas and a splash pad. Swings, percussion play and a small amphitheater-style shelter offer additional play and programming throughout the space. The playground not only features your typical play areas but is also ADA accessible in many locations and incorporates nature play. The overlook deck provides an accessible outlook to the Park’s lake view while still allowing for supervised play of the whole family.

No matter the size of your contribution, you make a difference! Donate today so that we can get to work and make this shovel ready design come to life.
